Why Yellow Belt?

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is the critical first step in your Continuous Improvement journey. It gives every professional — regardless of role or industry — the awareness, vocabulary, and foundational tools to contribute meaningfully to improvement efforts.

Unlike passive awareness training, this cohort is hands-on by design. You will map real processes, identify real waste, and apply the DMAIC framework to a project from your own work context — under the guidance of a seasoned Master Black Belt with over 15 years of field experience.

"You don't need to be an expert to improve your world. You need a method, a mindset, and the courage to start."

Delivered through Catalyst ExecEd's signature hybrid approach — combining structured learning with real-world application — this program is built for busy professionals who want results, not just credentials.

Cohort Community (WhatsApp/Slack)
A private group for peer learning, sharing project updates, asking questions, and building your CI network.
🎤
Week 6 Project Showcase

🔁
Session Recordings
All live sessions are recorded and made available for 60 days — so you never miss a concept and can revisit at your own pace.
Participant Expectations

Common Questions

Do I need any prior experience in Lean or Six Sigma? +
No. This program is designed for complete beginners. The only prerequisite is that you work in a professional environment where processes exist — which means anyone qualifies.
What is the time commitment per week? +
Plan for approximately 4–5 hours per week: one live session, 30 minutes of pre-work, and 1–2 hours applying tools to your project worksheet and completing the application exercise.
What if I miss a live session? +
All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. You are expected to watch the recording within 48 hours and complete that week's exercise on time. We allow one missed live session with recording makeup.
Is this certification internationally recognized? +
The Catalyst ExecEd Yellow Belt certificate is a practitioner-validated credential issued by a Master Black Belt with 15+ years of experience. While it is not a body-of-knowledge exam like ASQ or IASSC, it carries strong credibility for employer recognition in the MENA region and beyond — particularly for roles in CI, operations, and quality.
What industry backgrounds are suitable? +
All industries. Past cohort participants have included professionals from manufacturing, logistics, banking, healthcare, retail, telecom, and government. CI principles are universal, and the program is deliberately designed to apply across sectors.
Can my company sponsor multiple employees? +
Absolutely. Corporate group registrations of 3 or more receive a discount and can opt for a dedicated debrief session post-cohort. Contact us directly for a corporate enrollment package and invoice.
What's the pathway after Yellow Belt? +
Catalyst ExecEd offers a structured Green Belt program for graduates who want to deepen their skills and lead improvement projects independently. Yellow Belt completers receive priority enrollment and a dedicated discount for the Green Belt cohort.
